1933 Hanaoka Shoten was founded in Yokohama for sales of industrial vehicles and parts.
1940 Hiroshi Hanaoka becomes president.
1947 Company name is changed to Hanaoka Sharyo Co., Ltd.
1950 Hanaoka receives exclusive distributorship for East Japan for Bridgestone tires.
1955 Hanaoka starts manufacturing rims and wheels for agricultural and industrial vehicles.

1957
Hanaoka develops "Litecar" a trailer for agricultural use, and a large trailer series(K10, H15, H20).
1962 Hanaoka completes new factory in Konosu City, Saitama Prefecture.
1964 President Hanaoka sets policy to establish Hanaoka as a specialist in industrial material handling equipment.
1965 Hanaoka starts manufacturing Japan's first pressed worked hand truck, the DANDY.
1967 Begins development and marketing of material handling for airport use.
1969 Develops container trailer (with two-way towing and turntable) for the B-747.
1970 Develops two-way towing system with Automatic clutch. (adopted by NWA, PAA, JAL, and ANA) Develops pallet trailer for B-747F.
1974 Hanaoka builds No.2 plant for expanding ground support equipment business.
1977 Osaka office starts operation.
Hanaoka develops battery-powered hand truck, the AUTO-DANDY.

1978 Hanaoka develops a low profile 20 ft pallet trailer for airport use. (Adopted by PAA.)
1979 Hanaoka develops the DANDY LIFT.
1980 The Present head office building is completed.
1981 Plastic DANDY is introduced.
1982 Hanaoka exhibits products at Hanover, West Germany.
1983 Hanaoka exhibits at The Natural Material Handling Show in Chicago, U.S.A.
1985 The Japan Institute of Invention gives Hanaoka an award for its two-way towing container trailer. President Hanaoka receives the Ranjyuhosho medal from Japanese government.
1986 Hanaoka develops a low profile table lift, the FLAT LIFT.
Hanaoka's passenger baggage cart receives the Good Design Award.
1989 President Hiroshi Hanaoka passes away in April. Shigeru Hanaoka becomes the president.
Hiroshi Hanaoka Memorial Engineering Center completed in November.
Hanaoka establishes Hanaoka PTE.Ltd. in Singapore.
Hanaoka starts manufacturing PALLET LEVELLER under license from Safetech, Australia.
1990 New Tokyo International Airport adopt Hanaoka's passenger baggage cart for escalator use.
Hanaoka develops a high-speed two-way towing container trailers that obtain U.S.A patent.
Hanaoka begins production of the DANDY LEVELER Series.
Nagoya office starts operation.
1991 Hanaoka build Plant No 3.
1992 A new table lift series. the LITE LIFT, are launched in October.
Hanaoka develops a high speed ULD transport vehicle together with motorized loading bridge.
1993 The Fukuoka Office starts operation.
1994 Launched AGV,DANDY SHUTTLE.
1995 Launched LIFTS for wheel chair International show.
1996 Launched AGV DANDY SHUTTLE Europe at Hanover show.
Developed ZERO HEIGHT LIFT series for handicapped and industrial use.

1998 Launched AGV, DANDY SHUTTLE at Hanover Show.
Starting AGV Sales Promotion on the European Market.
2001 Presidennt Sigeru Hanaoka passed away in June, Toru Hanaoka becomes the president.
